OSCAR DE LA RENTA – CHLOE – ALAIA

It’s cold again in London, so on the cusp of June, I took the Oscar de la Renta fur out of its cover and don’t feel at all out of place wearing it today (although I should, in theory, be wearing an extremely light dress and heading to the nearest venue with super strength air conditioning. But this is London…) The pleated Chloe skirt is certainly fuller in shape than intended, quite an obvious statement as I am pregnant, but falls perfectly and is proving to be a chic option for a day of press appointments.

BALMAIN – JOSEPH – BALMAIN

Strangely pleased with the drop in temperature today – I am still unsure whether I am feeling terribly hot due to the climate, or from the fact that my body temperature is apparently much higher than usual due to being pregnant (something I hadn’t really noticed until this fact was mentioned by a fellow expectant mother). I hadn’t found the opportunity to wear this Joseph sweater when it was officially winter, but the shape and size work wonderfully right now and teamed with the divine Balmain leggings and shoes, it won’t look too out of place in a week where recent days were spent in loose dresses and sandals!

BLOOM AND BLOSSOM – ANTI STRETCH MARK OIL

I questioned whether I should write that finding Bloom and Blossom products during pregnancy was similar to that of a perfect partnership, the way that terrible journalists fall back on those old lines where they can’t help but to reference Fred and Ginger, Liz Taylor and Burton (well, when they were courting rather than actually in court), but such is my belief that this is the product range that covers every pregnancy requirement (nipple balm anyone?) and is done with such consideration of the expectant mother that I am happy to say that this truly is the Fred to the Ginger of pregnancy products. I shall not regret declaring my love for Bloom and Blossom, but I suspect I will be disappointed in myself for posting that Fred and Ginger line…

GIVENCHY – GOLDEN GOOSE – JIMMY CHOO

Summer shall apparently only be here for another day (yes, this is the UK), so my favourite look of recent weeks shall be enjoyed in full today. The slightly longer breton top sits perfectly over the pleated silk Givenchy skirt and the Jimmy Choo heels are the most divine tone for the season…

MARIE-CHANTAL – EXQUISITE CHILDREN'S CLOTHING

There are very few children’s designers that I will be heading to for clothing and accessories for my baby, but one that is very high on my list is Marie-Chantal, a store that sells only the most exquisite and beautifully tailored children’s clothing. I bought this divine outfit while in one of their London stores (three stand alone UK stores and concessions in the finest department stores worldwide) and shall certainly be heading back to purchase many more pieces!

ROBERTO CAVALLI

The most beautiful weekend of the year, meaning our summer garden party can go ahead as planned…I bought this Roberto Cavalli dress months ago and certainly hadn’t expected to be able to squeeze into it at this stage, but it fits perfectly (although quite obviously more ‘fitted’ than I had envisaged at the time of purchase!)

BALMAIN – ALAIA – ACNE – GIANVITO ROSSI

I certainly wouldn’t have thought any Balmain piece other than my stretch leather leggings would have fitted me during pregnancy, then I discovered this divine Balmain lightweight denim shirt…The loose cut falls perfectly over my prominent bump and as it’s a still a size 10, it will need no adjustments after my baby arrives later this year. Teamed with the divine Alaia cropped jacket/cardigan and cut off Acne jeans, it’s an utterly perfect summer look…

USHVANI SPA – PREGNANCY MASSAGE

Imagine if you will a 5 star private island resort level spa with the most tranquil setting, incredibly welcoming staff, strikingly beautiful surroundings and the most relaxing 2 hours you could possibly wish for. I have just described the Ushvani Spa in Chelsea. Yes, Chelsea, London. Upon walking into the salon, I felt I was back in Malaysia, only without the mosquito’s hovering over my head and causing unsightly damage to my legs. Unless you experience the spa first hand, I don’t feel any description could possibly do Ushvani justice. The interior of the listed townhouse has been transformed into a Malay utopia, with rooms decorated to beyond the usual level of a luxury city spa and every detail has been covered, but not saturated, so you never feel as though it has been overdone. A consultation preceded my pregnancy massage treatment and the therapist, although never having experienced pregnancy herself, knew more than I could ever hope to about the inner workings of the body whilst pregnant. I not only left with an entirely relaxed and soothed body, but also with a greater knowledge of just how to care for myself and my unborn baby. The only way to coming even slightly close to describing the Ushvani Spa is ‘utter, utter heaven’.
