Karen Elson in L’Wren Scott
Just non-bridal enough for an elegant Maid of Honour look
Black is no longer a no-no at weddings (although I would not advise wearing black)
Kate Moss in a Saint Laurent jacket and Alessandra Rich dress
A simple, but striking red L’Wren Scott dress
Love the darker leopard print on this dress – I would advise accessorising with turquoise for a pre-4pm wedding and bold gold additions for an evening ceremony
Dress – Reem Acra ‘Olivia’
Bracelet – Susan Caplan
Headpiece – Amour by Louis Mariette

Bride Q&A with Madeleine Macey, Communications Director of Temperley London.
1) Who designed your wedding dress and how did you make this choice?
I was honoured that Roland Mouret designed my dress, draping it directly on my body. I have known him my whole adult life having started my career in fashion as his showroom model aged 19. I then went on to run his press for years and when we parted ways he said to me – We may never work together again, but I will always be your Uncle – so my Uncle made me this dress as my wedding present and I am eternally full of love and gratitude
2) What is your most treasured memory from your wedding day?
Exhausted at 3am, collapsing in bed with my new husband and cheese and ham sandwiches
3) What invaluable advice would you offer to a future bride?
I think I am unusual in never having given a thought to what my wedding would be like, and feeling a bit embarrassed at being THE BRIDE – get involved, get annoying, get talking about it – it only happens once
I have tested many waterproof mascaras and the one that ticked all the boxes was without question DIORSHOW mascara. For me, it would be in black. Smooth application, beautifully defined lashes and although waterproof, the mascara wasn’t too stubborn when needing to remove it before bed.

You will need to speak directly with Roger Vivier’s team to enquire whether there is a single pair of these 2009 haute couture creations left to buy in the world – or indeed you could ask to have the same design recreated by Roger Vivier as a bespoke order
The Marechalle – a fabulous going away outfit shoe. All day and night in heels often requires a beautiful flat for the following day
For the wedding guest, the Fleur de Peau biscuit leather bag and stiletto
A strong shoe, but who’s to say the mother of the bride has to wear a neutral shade? Red satin Swarovski flats
Quite simply the most fun, fabulous bag of the season – the Flower of Love clutch
