Although this skunk doesn’t look quite so happy that it’s Halloween…! Love Pippa and Astor x
Working in the fashion industry, I know who the most sought after hair stylists are and even with access to their personal details, it can still be impossible to book in with the one person you know will make all the difference to your appearance!
I have long known the incredible reputation of Stephen Low, a genius who has styled the locks of most names that immediately come to mind and who regular appear on the pages of Vogue.
Stephen is one of those in-demand names that you are just willing to wait for; I just knew he would be able to give me ‘the’ haircut I never knew I wanted…I was not disappointed.
Stephen is based at Neville Hair & Beauty on London’s Pont Street, but with A-listers booking him for shoots and personal appearances, calling in advance is certainly required.
I had heard so many wonderful things about Neville Hair & Beauty, but it wasn’t until I experienced it for myself that I truly understood just why the energy, friendly team and beautiful surroundings caused clients to stay entirely loyal to this long established haven.
This week the full Oscar de la Renta bridal collection is in London from New York, so of course I couldn’t resist the opportunity to wear these beautiful creations
My son, Astor, came along, which perhaps was not the cleverest of ideas, but we managed to keep his sticky paws off of the dresses just long enough for me to select my favourites from the collection
More looks from my day at Oscar later this week…
I have often seen children dragging funny little cats behind them and thought how strange the cats appeared to be, with their over-sized eyes and floppy bodies. Then a friend bought Astor one. I for one cannot see the appeal (and actually find them a little spooky), but my son is completely enamoured with his new friend!
Last night I attended the launch of quite simply the perfect wedding show; intimate, only the finest clients and in a truly beautiful setting.
Looking a little stern, viewing the Oscar de la Renta bridal collection
Quintessentially are a clever lot; not only have they grown from a relatively niche company all those years ago (yes, I remember the early days), but they instinctively know when to launch yet another effortless addition to their portfolio.
The striking Browns Bride designers
Although relatively small, the Quintessentially Weddings Show housed the world’s leading designers (including a number of designers that have previously refused to attend other wedding shows, might I add); Tiffany, Oscar de le Renta, Dior, Agent Provocateur, Browns Bride, the list of exclusive clients goes on…
With the ever-charming and outrageously talented calligrapher Paul Antonio
By invitation only – should you be a bride wishing for an elegant, discreet and relaxed environment to source everything one would need for the wedding day and honeymoon, you surely must find a way to attend the debut Quintessentially Weddings show this weekend.
Yesterday I had the pleasure of attending the Bamford press day, an excuse to see friends who work on this luxury account and also to view the collections that just keep getting stronger with each season.
With the most heavenly cashmere pieces (the look I am wearing being a very firm favourite), perfectly cut and exquisitely embroidered summer dresses from the resort collection, along with every other wardrobe staple that would see you through your entire honeymoon due to the mix of light and heavier cashmere, shawl jackets and separates.
With Bamford, an equal focus is their luxurious beauty range of course, meaning this truly is a one stop place for everything you could possibly need for your honeymoon – and indeed beyond.
The last word in luxury is the Bamford candle collection, with the larger candles being the perfect honeymoon accompaniment for those relaxing evenings. ‘Moss’ is a fragrance that I immediately fell in love with for its fresh notes and very unique scent, although the clever ‘noses’ at Bamford have created a range that will surely have something for every taste.
If you were me, then I would be creating a honeymoon list at the Bamford store – if there’s a wedding list, then surely there can be a honeymoon one?
The first thing to note here is that I do look utterly miserable in this image, but miserable could not be further from how I feel! Perhaps we should re-name miserable ‘thoughtful’ in this instance?!
With my wedding plans now becoming far more solid and honeymoon destinations being firmly shortlisted, my thoughts have reached the ‘travel in style’ arena; something that will have even more emphasis placed on it with said travel being for my honeymoon.
I cannot deny that I do consider my ensemble when travelling and try to ensure a steady combination of comfort and style; cashmere always plays a major part with these looks and the answer to my question of just which cashmere brand could provide the most perfect style of softest cashmere to travel in has been found in Crumpet.
My Crumpet Cashmere look of choice is a loose fitting piece that in no way drowns the body, but does provide a healthy amount of fabric to ensure cozy, comfortable and entirely chic travel attire.
With my then almost two year old accompanying the Swede and I on our honeymoon (we shall be away too long to leave him), there will certainly be enough room inside the beautiful cashmere creation to have him snuggle down with me…
Oyu Moyu is a luxurious, predominantly cashmere, children’s collection with the most darling designs. There are cashmere collections available for little ones of course, but I can truly say that I haven’t experienced cashmere this unbelievably soft from any other designer – the quality could, without question, rival the most exclusive of adult collections.
LAUNCHING SOON – DETAILS SHALL BE LISTED WHEN AVAILABLE
Last week I attended the press day of a wonderful friend’s PR agency, Fuse Communications, and fell in love with these divine little shoes! I am quite undecided as to whether I shall have bridesmaids at my wedding next spring (yes, this is quite late to not have made a decision), but for those who know they certainly will have darling little ones running around, these exceptionally well made, sturdy and delightful shoes could not be more perfect…
