NET-A-PORTER & NIKE 7 DAY BODY REBOOT

 

The one that took a while to master… The Scorpion Plank.

 

As part of the 7-day workout devised by Nike master trainer Joslyn Thompson, simple effective training combined with a nutrition plan by Rose Ferguson has taken me to a whole new level of everyday wellbeing.

 

I am, and have been for some time, considerate about what I put into my body and train regularly to ensure I’m at a healthy weight and am energised, but what I noticed about the 7 Day Body Reboot was that by following an eating plan down to the last chia seed (well, almost) I realised my sugar intake from my regular diet was in fact far too high. I feel more alive, less sluggish and actually enjoy working out more because of this new way of eating.

 

I am leaving for New York tomorrow, so this will be my last day of full training – I shall be doing all I can while away to stick to the eating plan though, I’m sure with the focus on fashion week I will be keeping a closer eye on my eating habits and doing everything I can to steer clear of the dreaded sugar

My Net-A-Porter and Nike 7-Day Reboot continues, I’m feeling stronger, lighter and with far more energy than usual. I’m fit, but this has changed so much for me in that I can see where I was going wrong in what I ate and am using muscles that I wouldn’t ordinarily use.

Day-5 of my NET-A-PORTER + NIKE 7-Day Body Reboot. Due to flying to New York tomorrow, I’m accelerating my workouts for the last two days to include a morning and an afternoon workout. I can easily follow the eating plan while there, but know with an intense schedule for fashion week I wouldn’t be able to give the workouts 100% (70% yes, but I want to give this everything) – the full 7-Day Body Reboot can be viewed via NET-A-PORTER.COM

NET-A-PORTER & NIKE 7 DAY BODY REBOOT – AN ALTOGETHER HEALTHIER LIFESTYLE

 

Following the Net-A-Porter & Nike fitness and nutrition plan as part of their 7-Day Body Reboot. I worked at my computer passed midnight last night and can’t deny I’m missing my iced latte and granola, but I’m feeling lighter and less sluggish as each morning passes by cutting the caffeine and carbs out. This ‘papaya fruit salad and seeds’ (recipe on Net-A-Porter) has lots of pineapple, which has a real kick and serves to awaken the mind.

Day 3 of working with @netaporter and @nikewomen, taking their 7-Day Body Reboot. I teach an intense spin class, so have strength, but following the first two days of training I’m feeling every muscle that has been worked. My core feels tighter, the movements with weight resistance have done more than I anticipated. Simple, effective workouts from Nike master trainer Joslyn Thompson via NETAPORTER.COM

NET-A-SPORTER X NIKE ‘7-DAY BODY REBOOT’ – DAY 1

As most of you know, along with being a mummy, styling, writing, and with my store opening in January 2015, I’m also a spinning instructor – an intense spinning instructor. Those in my twice weekly classes experience another level of spin; the moving bikes, the incredible playlists and the fact that I will work you harder on that bike than you ever thought possible. With that said, apart from running, this is all I do. I want to be more supple, I want to engage other muscle groups, I want to have the ultimate body…

 

This week I am starting that process, to get the firmest, most toned (while remaining feminine) body, the one I have always wanted. Yes, I’m super fit, but I can be so much fitter.

 

Net-A-Porter and Nike are working together and have devised a training and eating 7-Day Body Reboot programme, which is running on the Net-A-Sporter space within the site. Nike Master Trainer Joslyn Thompson and leading nutritionist Rosemary Ferguson are behind the 7 daily workouts and eating plans that I shall be putting myself through for the coming week.

 

I’m excited. I’m excited to see results, I’m excited to see if my sugar cravings (the disaster in my life of health and wellbeing) disappear, I’m excited to see and feel a serious difference in my body. No chocolate, no coffee – not one thing that isn’t going to be what my body needs and deserves.

 

Over the next seven days I shall be uploading my progress here and on my Instagram account; a diary for this week of pure wellbeing…

Day 1 – Strength Training. Working with a yoga mat and kettlebell. I may be a spin instructor, but only use certain muscle groups and this is a whole other challenge for my body

Until this week, when Net-A-Porter and Nike asked me to be a part of their 7-Day Body Reboot programme, I didn’t have a juicer at home. For someone who has a fresh juice daily or doesn’t feel quite as alive inside, buying a juice elsewhere seemed an obvious, simple option (which it is). But why was I buying juices when I could make my own? Rosemary Ferguson’s juice recipes, part of the Net-A-Sporter programme, are delicious and incredibly simple to prepare.

At a point during most afternoons I need to reach for something sweet, chocolate usually, and I’m not fussy about which type it is (organic yes, but milk, dark, white, I’ll take anything.) I noticed today, already, a change in my cravings. I haven’t dipped. Instead of chocolate I’ve snacked on apple and almonds. Following this fitness and eating plan may just change everything…
