Combining the beautiful designs of Bonpoint with the brilliant eye of photographer (now filmmaker) Garance Doré, this short film to celebrate the opening of the new Bonpoint store in New York’s SoHo district cannot fail to make you smile. Another reason to love Bonpoint (even more…)
A few words about the exceptional new space…
Bonpoint, the luxury lifestyle brand, celebrated the opening of their new concept store in SoHo, New York on May 6th, 2014 with a special set by DJ Harley Viera-Newton. The 1,900 sq. ft boutique is home to the charming worlds of Bonpoint; thoughtfully arranged spaces are adorned with unique ambiances and furnishings. The store features vintage furniture sourced from Parisian flea markets and antique dealers repurposed by Christine Innamorato, Bonpoint’s Creative Director.
The event also celebrated the launch of the SoHo 2014 capsule collection which features 12 limited edition Liberty print dresses exclusive to the new store. Christine Innamorato also collaborated with jewellery designer Aurelie Bidermann to create a series of 12 limited edition bracelets decorated with their iconic cherry logo. The proceeds of these celebratory pieces will be donated to the charity New Yorkers for Children.
– Astor leaving a friends birthday party last week in La Coqueta –
(please excuse the juice on his divine jumper!)
I recently discovered a beautiful site offering super chic childrenswear, proudly made in Spain…
La Coqueta feels so authentic, it feels as though you have received a parcel from a family member who has recently returned from a wonderful trip to Spain, where they spied the perfect outfit for your little one and couldn’t resist bringing it home
Celia, the genius behind this high quality, classically designed label is herself from a large Spanish family and could see that there was no other leading brand offering the quality Spanish clothing that she has brought to the masses via her London store and also LaCoquetaKids.com
I have experienced many beautiful children’s brands for Astor over the past (almost) two years and with La Coqueta, I have found very classic Spanish styles in brilliant fabrics (handsome and hard-wearing) that I know will be handed down to family members, such is their lasting quality and timeless appeal
Combining one of my favourite brands and certainly one of my favourite children’s shopping destinations in the world is a heavenly collaboration if ever there was one
Through May, Aden & Anais have their ‘Prince George’ cult collection Jungle Jam pop-up within the Harrods children’s department – you will not have been able to escape the beautiful images of Prince George wearing the Aden & Anais baby bird swaddle when he left hospital following his birth
A perfect collection for newborns through to toddlers, I personally have not been without something from Aden & Anais with every stage of Astor’s life so far (and with baby two in our minds, I know I shall be buying many many pieces in the years to come…)
Easter in the UK generally equates to a rather wet affair, given the weather, but it also equates to lots of fun for certain small people dressed in their new wellingtons and handsome new Mini-A-Ture raincoat!
I am quite unsure who was more excited about the fabulous little raincoat, although it was likely to be me as Astor just appreciated the fact that we were out walking in the torrential rain and he wasn’t under a raincover in his stroller being protected from the downpour this time!
Thanks to the clever and beautifully designed waterproof that ensured not a drop of rain reached Astor’s clothing underneath, I could hold my umbrella firm and have this gorgeous little person happily jumping in every puddle he could find without concern…
I have been trying to avoid the inevitable, letting Astor experience anything sweet and chocolatey.
I am not an enormously strict mummy, but just felt that with my own sweet tooth (likely due to the sweetie allowance while a toddler myself), I would attempt to save Astor from the sugar cravings that have been with me since as long as I can remember.
However, I was recently introduced to Rebel Kitchen, the brilliant company behind children-focused all natural coconut milk drinks – Orange/Choc, Chocolate and Banana – and knew this was the guilt free answer to satisfying Astor’s curious tastebuds I had been looking for. And I could not love the amazing packaging more…
With Astor walking down the aisle with me on the 20th March and being a very big part of our day (obviously), I am considering his attire with as much detail as mine
I viewed many brands of shoes, but decided for this one special day I would have a beautiful pair of leather shoes handmade for my little love
With complete surprise I found that Vevian, a shoe brand I was familiar with and had heard so many wonderful things about from friends, was not as expensive as I would have imagined for bespoke shoes and that the quality far exceeded that of other very lovely shoes I had viewed previously
Astor’s shoes arrived this morning in the wooden box with beautiful floral interior that all of Vevian’s shoes are sent in. To say I am thrilled would be an understatement; the shoes are perfect in every way and are to the perfect specifications that I had discussed with the wonderful designer (and fellow mummy) of Vevian shoes
I have a feeling this will not be the only occasion that I select shoes from this exceptional designer…
As the months have past and Astor has grown faster than I imagined possible, his needs have of course changed in so many ways and one of the main things I wanted to ensure for my growing boy was that he received the best support through these all important first years
Since Astor’s birth, I have experienced several strollers, which have been wonderful, but now I feel I have found the perfect model from a brand who has so much to give back in so many ways
Joolz not only creates perfect products, they are one of the leading brands for creating environmental awareness. Packaging is considered, forests are planted and they are continuously finding ways to protect the planet
Joolz is a company that was introduced to me in the summer. I have to admit that I hadn’t heard or seen much from the brand, although now that I am the very contented owner of one of their expertly designed strollers, I see Joolz models being used by so many other mummy’s (not to mention celebrities). I now know why Joolz is becoming the name to go to for every reason parents could think of when considering the perfect stroller
Comfortable, chic and incredibly designed for ease of use, I could not be more thrilled to have Joolz in my – and certainly Astor’s – life
Since before Astor was born, I had been collecting Aden & Anais products for him, always loving their simple approach to design, combined with the softest organic fabrics.
The latest addition to his collection is Aden & Anais new ‘Dream Blanket’, a super soft layered blanket that still feels as light on the skin, but due to layering keeps my little man perfectly toasty on these biting winter days.
As I choose to only have a part-time nanny for Astor, there are occasional days when I need to attend meetings for work, so my little love comes along and I just have to hope he doesn’t accidentally damage anything while we’re at one of the fashion houses! (Sticky paws on a Dior dress? Very likely…)
Today he and I were at Storm Models while I cast girls for a forthcoming shoot. The thing I love about Astor is his chilled nature; I would know if he wasn’t enjoying his time anywhere, but the attention lavished on him from all around could not have been more wonderful for that hour!
